Itinerary: |
DAY 1
Pick up from your Alice Springs Accommodation at 8.45am
Travel along the Ross Highway amongst the ancient and beautiful Eastern Mac Donnell Ranges.
Visit Corroboree Rock then continue on to N’dhala Gorge. N’dhala Gorge is an important site for the Eastern Arrente people known as Irlwentye. The Gorge is home to over 5900 individual petroglyphs (rock engravings), several art sites, shelter sites and other sites of cultural significance.
Lunch here before continuing our journey to our overnight Accommodation at Ross River.
Time for Birding, bushwalking, swimming and relaxing.

DAY 2
Step back in time to the Era of 1887 where we visit the area of Central Australia’s first Town – The Goldrush Town of Arltunga. Visit the excellent Arltunga Visitors Centre. Imagine the GHOSTS of Arltunga as you visit Old ruins. Enjoy morning tea after visiting the Old Police Station.
Now our 4WD Adventure begins as we head into Ruby Gap, an acknowledged Off Road Destination by 4WD enthusiasts.
During our journey into Ruby Gap you will see Flora & Fauna amongst this might well be Wild Donkeys & Horses (Brumbies) and various types of Lizards.
We will arrive into Ruby Gap in time to set up our Camp before exploring some of the area or maybe a swim.
A Hearty Camp Oven cooked Evening Meal and a chance to reflect in remote surroundings under Outback skies.
Sleep in an Aussie Bush Bed – The SWAG, comfortable and insect proof.

DAY3
An early breakfast then off to explore more of Ruby Gap and for those that wish Bushwalk into the Spectacular Glen Annie Gorge.
Enjoy a picnic Lunch before making our way to Alice Springs.

Booking Conditions
Minimum 3 pax for departure. When joining 'Ossies Outback 4WD Tours' you need a sense of adventure and a reasonable level of fitness. Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend that passengers arrange their own travel insurance. 'Ossies' operates in remote areas, itineraries may vary according to road/weather/safety conditions.
