Ossies Outback 4WD Tours, in conjunction with Lindsay Bookie, are proud to announce a genuine opportunity for a cross cultural experience on Aboriginal Land on Hay River in Northern Simpson Desert. Our host Lindsay is a senior Eastern Arrernte Law man and traditional owner of this area Lindsay has worked as a stockman (cowboy) and an NT Police Tracker giving him a wealth of knowledge about his country and its people.
With his family he invites you to share their traditional skills in finding and collecting bush foods, tracking and finding water – subject to seasonal variances.
People with varied interests from Photography, Bird Watching, Exploration & Love of Nature will enjoy a chance to associate with Rural Aboriginals in their Backyard. Baton Hill – Lindsay's place has very good shower & toilet facilities – plenty of hot & cold water with comfortable SWAGS or Tents after Campfire Hospitality. This unique Tour will further enhance Ossies range of Tours in the theme of 'Tracks less Traversed'. |
